East Coast Park - July 2016

Bai and i went to East Coast Park to rollerskate again! :3 This time it was more fun because we were more used to the skates but... we overestimated our stamina and skated really quickly for the 1st hour and then had no energy for the remaining hour :X

We went the opposite from last time, Area C to Area E. There was a diversion point at one point, and we decided to take the outer route since there was more turns hahaha to challenge ourselves (a very wrong choice later explained) :P I have never seen this lake before in East Coast Park although i've been there many times, because i always take the inner route and the lake can't really be seen from the inner route.

Cicada Woods. Another place that i have never seen before. It was quite ulu and kind of narrow for a cycling path. I would like to go to the walking trail one day to see what is in there! ^^

Why i said it was a wrong choice to go through this path: there was quite a steep downhill and when rollerskating downhill... it was so fast and i couldn't control my skates so i fell. And had an abrasion on my left knee even though i had knee guards on :X Luckily Bai didn't fall down :) and then i had to take off my skates because i couldn't get up even though Bai tried to lift me up. Oh well, i haven't had an abrasion in many years, last time was probably in secondary school :P And this was about one hour of skating. No energy+injured = dead. Luckily the abrasion isn't super painful, my skin was just grazed slightly, thanks to the knee guards ^^ If i didn't had any protection, both of my knees and my palms would be in a much worse state :0

Anyway, continuing on! We went on to Area E and then u-turned at the hawker centre there. I didn't want to go back to the same path, so we went onto the walking path to get back to the inner cycling path. Another bad choice, the walking path is a lot more bumpy than the cycling path T_T On the way back, Bai fell trying to skate down a ramp mean for trolleys/bicycles and i fell again because there was a bridge and actually i don't even know why i fell ._. But luckily we didn't get injured (again) :)

We managed to get back at least half an hour earlier before returning the skates so we took some photos :3 because i was too tired to skate too far ><

Tired but happy! ^^

After returning our skates the newly reopened Marine Cove was nearby so we decided to go to the McDonald's there for ice cream ^^ The playground beside the food area was quite huge! (i forgot to take photos of the playground ><) I will go there on a weekday to play :P because during weekends the playground will be full of children.

(edit: I forgot to mention that at Area C there is a first aid station where people can treat their minor injuries there. Bai and i went there to clean my abrasion and Bai also had a blister so the first aiders cleaned and put a plaster over his blister. I think it is a good idea that East Coast Park have volunteer first aiders to help around since people can get injured quite easily at East Coast Park.)

Marine Cove
At first i didn't really feel like rollerskating, but i'm glad that i did ^^ Thank you Bai for suggesting to go rollerskating today :) Hmm... but i would rather go on a weekday because the rental charge is a lot cheaper on weekdays >< hahaha.
