Yay update after more than a month! After being all busy and sick, Bai and i finally had time to go park visiting again! This time, also as a valentine's day date :P
Bishan-AMK Park is HUGE, not that i didn't already know before going there but still... :0 Anyway, park logos and park maps as proof shots haha.
First thing we saw was this lotus pond. And yes i am quite inappropriately dressed (especially shoes) to walk long distances but... i wanted to dress nicer than usual for valentines :P
The lakes/ponds in the park are connected to Kallang River, which is... pretty far ._.
What is that weird structure!?
Attempt in taking a macro shot :X
Attempted to cross the river but the rocks were too low and it wasn't worth the risk making our shoes wet since there were bridges anyway :/
Fishies!!
This marks the start of us posing ridiculously with plants/scenery :X
There is this garden that houses butterflies(?)
Spot the pretty butterfly!
Random panoramic shot along the river
So we saw this huge brick stairs with a weird structure on it from a distance (as seen from the photo many photos above :P) And so we went to see what was it.
Bai attempting to take a cool scenery shot (which indeed came out pretty nice!)
So... yeah as seen from the description boards over there. An enclosed, fixed swing ._. Not what i had expected, but not like i was expecting anything anyway :X
I just felt like putting this here :P Me with a mouth full of water.
After that we went to a playground meant for small kids (but hey we look like kids so... :P) There was this super cool excavator thing which was really fun to play with! :P
Look at Bai trying to dig a hole as deep as possible. Meanwhile, i was freaking out that he might break the thing :0
Swing!!
Bai's somehow serious face out of nowhere omg :'D
First time seeing a swing for people who require a wheelchair, hmm interesting!
And so that's the first part of the park! (right side of the map)
Proceeding to the second part of the park...!
Rocks in cages to prevent the water from flooding... called gabions (haha secondary school geog)
*0*
So there is this water playground which we found it interesting so we came back at 4pm to see and hopefully play with water. Note: The water comes out 10 minutes later than the stated timing ._.
The almost dried up water playground. This was taken at around 1pm?
Water is out!
Trying to make a pattern the... things ._.
While it was nice walking barefooted with the water flowing around ankle level... the children playing there were... kinda too excited ._. that one of them kicked and splashed water at my butt without notice <_< because he wanted to play with the drain with his 'boat' (metal pot) and i was blocking the water flow while Bai was arranging the things... oh well. And then after that kids kept on hogging the central fountain lol. Since they could soak in the water like a sauna. So after all that Bai and i just went somewhere else where the kids where not there ._.
And... here comes all of the ridiculous, funny poses with plants and scenery (mostly Bai's because photos of me are with him :P)
Bai the flower
That boat...
So Bai wanted this "boat is floating away so i (Bai) am freaking out and you (Chan) is sad" photo.
Sir Bai Raffles
That tree...
Ok i honestly wasn't expecting that he was going to pose like that ._.
And so i decided to have this "omg how deep is this hole" kind of photo :X
Tumbling down the slide,
Balancing on the rope...
Oh Bai... he was still so active then while i was kinda tired already >< so i rested a bit while he went around the playground :)
Look at how unsuitable my shoes are for walking long distances :X Anyway... i freaked out when i climbed up to this... 'treehouse' and freaked out again when i climbed down because spider web ladders are so wobbly T_T why can't they just make a normal, sturdy ladder up :( Anyway, this is just a... box with nothing in it.
Pong pongs are poisonous!!
And... that's it for Bishan-AMK Park! There is still part 2 of today where later we went to Lower Peirce Reservoir Park since it was just across the road.
