About Us (December 2016)

Before i begin 'About Us', today is this blog's 1st birthday! \o/ When i updated the blog a few days ago, i remembered that i created this blog sometime last year december, and when i checked, the first post was on 14/12/2015 :) so... yay!! Although i doubt there are any readers, i'm happy to have a place to record down the parks that i've been for the past year ^^

So... now. The 'About Us'. I am Chan, a 20-year-old Singaporean currently studying in a local university. As you can tell, i don't really want to tell personal details about myself haha :X I created this blog back in December 2015 because suddenly i want to have a blog to upload photos and say stuff about the parks i go to :) I've always liked being outdoors (although i'm a really physically weak person T_T), but as i grow older, i have become significantly lazier to get my butt off the house especially during the holidays. So this blog is a small little motivation for me to get out of the house and visit parks!

The other guy who appears in the photos, is Bai. He is also a 20-year-old Singaporean, entering a local university next year because he just ORD-ed a few weeks ago \o/ At first, i wanted this blog to have 2 active authors, Bai and i, but somehow Bai didn't post anything up till now. But it's ok :) Without him, i wouldn't even have thought the idea of having this park blog because... we always go outdoor places together ^^

And another thing about this blog: this isn't a review blog. I don't give ratings or reviews or detailed description of the parks. I just take photos of the parts of parks that i have been to and type according to my memory and the photos i've taken. That's pretty much about it for this blog. Haha.

Hope that the next year we will be more active and visit more parks! (and other outdoor places ^^)

Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden

Part 2/2: Chinese Garden! and Japanese Garden. It was the first time i went to Japanese Garden although i have been that area a few times before.

Mount Faber Park and Telok Blangah Hill Park

Part 1/2: The Southern Ridges! But sadly Bai and i didn't go through the entire Southern Ridges because... i'm weak :( But then later on in the afternoon we still went to Chinese Garden anyway :P (part 2 in the next post). Note: we went to these parks quite some time ago, at end August.

Punggol Park and Sea Shell Park

Oh wow i haven't updated for almost 5 months, because lazy. Haha. But i did visit some parks during these 5 months, and now it's uni vacation so i have lots of free time to update yay! The 2 parks that i will be saying in this post are parks that i go quite often because i go there to jog with Bai :3 Ok not that often, i only go jogging once a week :X

East Coast Park - July 2016

Bai and i went to East Coast Park to rollerskate again! :3 This time it was more fun because we were more used to the skates but... we overestimated our stamina and skated really quickly for the 1st hour and then had no energy for the remaining hour :X

Pasir Ris Town Park

Long time no update! Because instead of going outdoors during summer vacation, i decided to hide at home all day every day :X I go past Paris Ris Town Park very often, but i never really explored the park (now you know which part of Singapore i live).

Kranji Marshes and Hay Dairies Goat Farm

Yay for more frequent updates!! ^^ I was actually anticipating visiting the Kranji Marshes because it's a newly developed green space but... it wasn't done developing there wasn't much to see :C No wonder there were hardly any people :/

East Coast Park - May 2016

Finals are finally over!!!! So the first day of vacation Bai and i went to East Coast Park to rollerskate!! ^^ We didn't really explore the park because East Coast Park is way too big and we are beginners for rollerskating so... yeah don't really have photos :/ Rollerskating was really fun!! but tiring at the same time because i haven't exercised for at least a month :X

Pasir Ris Park - kaLIFEdoscope 2016

An update after more than a month (again!) This time, there isn't really any photos because kaLIFEdoscope is a 4.9km obstacle run my secondary school friend invited me to join because she was part of the planning committee :) No regrets joining although I walked almost throughout except at the start and end :P Thank you Bai for accompanying me to this run :D

Lower Peirce Reservoir Park

Part 2 of our park visits today! This post will be much shorter as compared to the Bishan-AMK one because... i was tired by the time i reached Lower Peirce so we mostly just sat near the reservoir area and didn't explore :/

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park

Yay update after more than a month! After being all busy and sick, Bai and i finally had time to go park visiting again! This time, also as a valentine's day date :P

Dragon Playground and Ang Mo Kio Town Garden East

First post of 2016! 2 days before the new semester starts, oh no T_T Should have visited more parks this week, but i was busy slacking off at home :X At least i visited a park and a playground today with Bai ^^
